The Force Within

  • I do not know why I am posting the following other than I feel compelled to do so.

I do know that somethings I am compelled to do I can only understand in time after the action has been taken.

I also know, from past life experience, that it is a mistake for me if I choose not to follow the guiding force that is within my heart.

I am sitting here with my very first bible. This bible was gifted to me. The first page on top says Presented to and below I filled out the information, my name, address and date.  The date is Dec. 6 1974.

There I was 10 years old, and finally, I was able to start a journey of understanding towards a roadside sign that I had been seeing for as long as I can remember.  The sign read "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36.

When I first remember this sign I was unable to read, however, just looking at it provided warmth within my heart.  When I would ask my father what it said he would not read it to me and only reply things like it does not matter or it is nothing. I could feel in my heart that he was scared to read it out loud, this confused me because I could not understand why words would scare someone.  In time my mother told me what it said and I did not understand.  In time I learned to read the sign for myself and still did not understand.  I felt at that time that the answer for my questions lay within the bible.

44 years ago on this day I started a journey towards understanding and seeing the light that brought me out of the darkness of not understanding.

This is a very special anniversary for me.

I wish to thank God, our whatever you wish to call the guiding force within our hearts, for the wonderful gift of life and the ability to see the beauty that surrounds us.

I also wish to share the following with all that I can.  These are words meant for all and belong to all for these words were hid from no one.

    Matthew 5

1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Please share in prayer with me.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

    Amen.

I kindly and humbly thank all that take the time to read this and encourage all your responses to what I have wrote to be posted.

May all in the world be blessed, may peace be with you.
