With all the construction going on in Pasco County, especially around the Land O Lakes 41 and 54 highways it's taking longer and longer to get to other non-denominational metaphysical church.
I currently go to a church in New Port Richey, the minister there will recognize my ordination out of respect but wants me to go through their ordination before I can officiate there.
It's an older congregation only a few years old, their message and healing service on wednesday evenings has a nice crowd but their sunday daytime service has a handful of people there.
I'm finally persuading them to start networking online. She wants to keep her original website for the church for her personal use and make a dot org one for the official church one, same name just the extension is different. I tried to explain you can't do that it will confuse people. I also created their facebook and twitter pages and setting up their newsletter and mailing list for them. PLUS we will be video taping their services to put online.
I suggested a saltelite church and she was NO NO NO - not until we buy property and have a permanent location. She calls herself the grand diva, has 3 other ministers there but is the only one who officiates. No structure for a replacement if anything were to happen to her. She's in her 60/70's with heart problems.
SO - I had a few friends who asked if I ever thought of starting my own church in our area. I had thought of it before but didn't do much with it. Until now.......
On Saturday September 18'th at 6pm eastern time I have reserved a room at the Land O Lakes Recreation Center on Collier Parkway for an hour to see if there is an interest in the area. Plus we will hold a service. There are limited days available for reserving a room and I may be restricted to only 3 months and no further.
So if there is an interest I will be looking for a more permanent location to host services and actualy have a church. I plan on putting up fliers and posting on network sites about the meeting.
I'm looking for other ULC members who may live in the area and are interested in helping out. I am going to try to have the church as a truly non-denominational where ministers of all faiths may come and celebrate in their way. I'm hoping to have a different minister perform services each week. It will also help people understand different faiths and beliefs.
