Holiday Time

  • I went to the grocery store today to pick up some things that I needed. I am always amazed how people act before a holiday.  Pushing and shoving to get the right turkey, the right potatos the perfect vegges etc. etc. People yelling at each other, complaining about everything.  I was glad to get out of there.

Now why do people do this, why do they go nuts during a holiday.  I mean this grocery store had tons of turkeys in all sizes.  Why are people fighting over a 18 lb frozen turkey when there are other 18 lb turkeys in the case.

I saw one woman yelling at her husband because the store did not have a brand of food she wanted.  I wanted to go up to her and tell her to stop yelling it is was not his fault the store did not carry that brand. That she should be thankful that her husband was still here with her on holidays.  Is this what holidays do to us, make us forget why we are celebrating.  If the holidays puts that much stress on you then maybe you better re-think how you can change that for the better.

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for your family and friends.  To be thankful that you are still here on this earth to enjoy this time.

So let us think on that and just enjoy the day, give thanks for all we have, whether we have a lot or a little.

Blessings to you all and may you all have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
