Charles Winstead

And they call me weird. . .

  • Is Tennessee the only state with imbeciles holding seats in the general assembly?  One of ours recently appeared on an XFM talk show and claimed people engaging in heterosexual sex can't contract HIV/AIDS.  He also quoted the urban legend as fact that claims that AIDS started when an airline pilot, quoting his delicate words now, "screwed a monkey."  This same compassionate conservative is sponsoring a bill to require annual drug testing as a qualification for receiving public aid.  And he's talking about introducing a bill that would disqualify public assistance to needy families whose children fail to perform at grade level on achievement testing. . . until the failing child turns 21!  Another TN congressman wants to outlaw transexuals from using women's restrooms.  His criteria for who can use the Jane?  Proof of gender via production of a certified birth certificate indicating gender at time of birth.
