Hard times

  • Hello everyone,
It has been a very hard few years. I have been ordained since 10/20/2007. Everything was going good My wife and I would attend church service where my wife has been attending for many years. I was talking to another pastor and he said to me for someone to be able to teach the word of God they need to have a masters degree so that everyone will know that you know what you are talking about. I said that this is not true. He said it is so and then went on to say that I was not able to teach the word. Yes in some cases you need an education for certain jobs in this world. If you are called by God to teach his word then you should be able to teach. In the book of Luke 12:12 It says For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
So with that said if you are called by God to teach the word then go out and do it. Don't let others keep you from teaching the word and leading other to the Lord. After a little time at that church we moved and started attending another church. It was nice at first as far as being there. We went to the services for many months. Then one day we had a problem with our car and needed help to get it fixed. We lived on a fixed income so we could not fix this without help so we turned to the church to see if they could lend a hand. We were told no they were not able to help us. The next week we went to church and the pastor started the service telling everyone that he is starting a collection for each and every week until he says stop  because he want the people of the church to pay for his sons education.
Well this is just wrong. We ended up leaving that church because they only look out for the ones that work in the church and their families. Then in 2014 family that moved to Arizona wanted us to move there also. We moved to Arizona it was ok at first. A month or so later they wanted more and more of our money and then when we would not give them all of the money my wife and I were put out to the streets. We have been homeless and lost everything. I can say this. It was a very good experience. The reason that I say this is because it teaches you about life. We went from having everything to having nothing in a very short time.
We lived on the street in Tempe Arizona. Everyday we would go out and ask for food and money. If we were not able to get food or money we would eat out of dumpsters. The reason for the money is that we did not want to be outside we wanted a room. Most days we were inside but others we were in the heat or the cold depending on the time of year it was. In February 2015 we went to California to try and start a life there. We meet a guy that is a pastor that helps the homeless. Wow this is good someone that helps others in need. We started to stay with him and his wife. It was great we were off of the street. Then tax time came around and my sister called saying that my wife had a check at the house and we needed to come get it. I told my sister that we could not come back because we have no money. My sister said that she would come and get us and take us home to Arizona. Well that check was not for my wife it was my sisters she put my wife on her taxes. No good so now we are back in Arizona we stayed there until the end of July and moved back to California. Then in the middle of september someone told my wife that they were going to kill her. We left that day with $63.00 and ended up in Las Vegas.
After being here my wife got very sick and put into the hospital while there she met a very nice woman that wanted to help us. She has done so much for us. She is the one that helped us get off of the street. We have been off of the street since November 1 2015.
Remember we all can help make a change in someones life.

Rev. Megan George Pastor Nathan: All faiths and denominations have different requirements, and the first Pastor was very narrow minded. The Lord calls each person to teach His Word. Too few hear and follow. I also have had hard times and know the strength in faith that get...  more
