My Beliefs

  • Good Morning everyone.........

I wanted to jump on here and put up a quick little blog.  I am very strong on my feelings and beliefs that everyone should be allowed to marry and be happy. By this I mean, If you are with the same sex you should be allowed to marry in the United States. This is suppose to be the land of the Free... but will not allow people to be married just because they fell in love with someone of their own sex? I find this cruel to do to someone.  I have seen and heard people judged for mixing races.  I repeat again, IF YOU ARE HAPPY, Then that is all that matters in my books.  We can not help who our hearts fall in love with.   Someone asked me once, "What would you do if one of your children came to you and said they were gay/lesbian and wanted to marry their partner?"  I smiled and said, I would tell them, "I couldnt be happier for you.  Does this person make you happy? Do they treat you with respect? Will they always protect you?" and if their answer is YES then I am for it. I would open my arms up and welcome that person into our family just as I would if it was someone of the opposite sex that they were wanting to marry.

Now I ask that you understand, my children are not gay/lesbian. I have 3 teens, one is 18, one is 17 and engaged to a boy she has been dating for over 3 years now, and I have a 15 year old son.   I am not lesbian. I am a straight single mother of my 3 teens, who has learned to live life without judging people and realizing everyone has a heart and a soul and deserves to be happy in life, regardless of their choices they made.  All I want is the world to be happy and non-discriminative towards each other.  Why live with hatred towards people? Does it make you feel better when you go to bed at night?  Ok so your beliefs are they are sinning? Does this mean you have to show hatred because of their lifestyles?  Show compassion and love to each person.  Just because it might not be your cup of tea, doesnt mean someone else perfers that kind of tea.  I am open minded, non judgemental and have love for all of God's people and creatures.

Well I will get off my soap box now. I wanted to clarify my beliefs on this before I get messages that I am wrong in feeling this way.  If you want to bash me for my feelings on this, then please dont waste your time adding me as a friend or messaging me, because I refuse to get upset over what I believe in.

I wish you all a wonderful and peaceful day.

    Loving life,

    Rev. Terri Lynn Kolajajck-Sas
