Good evening or afternoon depending where you are at. i want to speak about christmas and speak of my christmas sermon for you. i regret not getting my thanksgiving sermon so this is my sermon for you all.
Christmas is to celebrate jesus life. i love celebrating it. some people say its a pagan holiday and over hyped and commercialized. well maybe but i dont think so. now christmas is to get together celebrate jesus life as well as celebrate peoples life as well as share a meal with friends and family and remenis of the past of gifts as well as things we did in the past we arnt proud of but are funny moments to the other family a day to remeber and embaress others. those meals i call it thanksigiving,easter and christmas and birthdays.
now to some christmas is to see how many gifts one gets or how many exspensive gifts are gotten. my opinion is christmas is a time for get togethers to set up a christmas tree if you have one and to share memorys of good life and bad life and enjoy it with good company. christmas isnt about gifts. i watch movies over and over and i say look this movie is about santa and this one is about gifts and this one is about gifts in the end and so forth. christmas to some has lost its meaning. when you loose the meaning you must make a new meaning of it. i find gifts are the last on the list i find giving gifts are more important. i want to make some peoples christmas wishes better and some people have a good chrismas. christmas is a tme to have fun as well as spend time to write cards and buy gifts for people who you think need gifts. christmas isnt about gifts for me. the best and most important gift i got from jesus is ever lasting life when i die. i also want to say the most important gift of all is life god gave me. god gave me life and that means more to me then anything in the world. i can say i have a list 100 pages long of wishes and wants but god will provide my wants and wishes in his time. so when people write a list and say i want 500 items god will fill what he thinks should be the best and important. without god there wouldnt be christmas. without jesus birth there wouldnt be celebrations of christmas. so bottom line is dont ask for anything and god will provide for you everything you need. and most important christmas is a time for friends and family as well as a good meal. gifts are last on my list because i dont mind getting them but i do think christmas needs to be looked at from everyones views. in some its friends family and get togethers and partys. for the children christmas is the time all of the year revolves. or kidom revolves around christmas. now other christmas gifts god provides for some of you is children. if you have kids hold them tight and be greatful you have them. kids are the other best gift for people. some say there not because it costs you food and clothes and money but god wanted you to have kids so look at it. god gave you a gift and told you to take care of your and his child. so remeber christmas time is a time for peace and good will and to help others it isnt time to be greedy and say i want everything you see at stores. also its a time to spend infront of the tv watching christmas movies and spending it with the family and kids as well as going christmas shopping and shopping for those you love. christmas time is for everybody and if you think christmas lost the definition then reinvent christmas for yourself.
So Merry christmas and a happy new year and if i make one more christmas sermon then please look for it.
