1st day of Chaplaincy class

  • Chaplaincy Class   Day 1

Okay, had no idea what this was going to be about.  Of course there was talk of leaning on the strength of God when helping folks out, trusting His wisdom on why you are here.  There was talk of First Responders to a crisis, and Second Responders.

But I thought was really cool… what the fact they push you to seek The Source.  To ask the Holy Spirit for guidance, through prayer and I swear it’s the same thing we do when we meditate.  We seek the source of all knowledge to help us with an issue, or to give us an answer.  While speaking the minister said… all you are trying to do is “remember” what you already know.  To REMEMBER!  I have been told for a few years now that we are not learning what is outside but to tap into what is inside … to remember!  I have never heard a Christian of “authority” say that before.

I know this is no big deal to most as they feel this way anyway.  But I didn’t know Christianity did too.  The names for things are a bit different, but what they are asking us to do is no different than what most do every day Pagan and Christian alike.    I have a hard time with my faith as there are so many trying to distance themselves from others in the name of Christ.  Last night I felt like many things clicked into place for me.   It was very uplifting to see my path lit up just a little bit more.
