Love
What is love? Is it an energy, a great white light, an element not found on the periodic table? Or is a concept, an illusion, a dream, a notion. Is it what runs the whole? Is there an opposite for balance? Some say the opposite of love is fear…does that mean that there is the same amount of love and fear in order to keep balance?
Can you love someone a little? Can you love some parts and not others? If you love their hair, but dislike their nose, love the fingers, hate the toes. If you love more than 50% of a person does that mean you love them? Or just love ½ of them?
Is love a feral notion to keep us from randomly killing each other? Is love the universal connection…the one thing that all people believe in. Its that ONE thing that we all seek. The ONE thing we never really understand
Can you prove love? Can you hold it, grow it, measure it? Can you see it, hear it, smell it? Do you surrender to it, give it freely, hold onto it, do you use it to draw people to you, do you envy those that have more of it, do you wonder where it is when people are harmed by it?
Is it that thing that drives people to feel compassion for another, that reason for faith, because love can’t be proven yet even those that swear they have no faith do believe in love. So I wonder if you have no faith, how can you have love?
Just sharing the random thoughts had on my drive home tonight. Love.
