Sometimes we ar not sure who or what to blame for bad things that happen to us or someone we love. Many would blame God. Some say, " if God was a good God why would he cause this to happen", or "if God cared for us why is these things happening?" Well, the answers to these questions and others similar can be found in God's Holy Word, The Bible. And we must search there to find the answers. But first, let's agree that God does not cause evil or bad things to happen ( Job 34:10-12).
We are His children, we are under His Guidance if we obey Him. However, if we leave from under His protection, we ourselves may help the cause of any situation or experience we go through.
For example, say we are grown to maturity and want to leave home because we don't abide by our parents rules. We can't come in late, they set a curfew. We don't clean up, but they want us to. We can't do things we want to do, so we leave. A loving parent will not stop us from leaving (Luke 15:11-13) And we go out and start getting in trouble with the Law, going to jail and doing things contrary to what we did under our parents watchful eye. There is a Hugh difference in allowing something to happen and causing something to happen. So now, did our parents cause our problems? The answer is NO. We caused it. Just as Adam caused the fall of all mankind; Gen. 5:5-6. God saw that our hearts were evil continuously and it grieved Him that He even made us on earth.
Secondly, God ALLOWS things to go forth as His will, so that He has the Glory of the whole matter. He is our Salvation in the time of trouble and we must trust Him completely. God hates to see us suffer, and God has not changed at all. And because we are made in His image, we are still favored in His eyes. We are made to love, and made out of love, because "God Is Love." (1 John 4:7-8).
And lastly, we are rebellious, and God see this as us going the wrong direction and away from Him. He loves us and want us near to Him. He wants us to be as He is. God is Holy and we should be the same and be obedient to His commandments.
