A text Question came up to me just now, is ULC or Universal Life Church is a registered Church in the Philippines?
My answer is NO.
Universal Life Church, Universal Life Church- The Monastery nor the Universal Life Church Seminary is not a registered religious corporation in the Philippines BUT A REGISTERED RELIGIOUS CORPORATION in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Universal Life Life Church has its State Registration as Religious Corporation at Modesto, California, USA.
Universal Life Church- The Monastery at Seattle, Washington, USA
Universal Life Church Seminary at Elk Grove, California, USA
The Ordination and Certification obtained through any of the above mentioned religious organization are valid and legal as it is faith based religion.
And the Philippine Government has no Law that will not recognize these Churches in our Country as long as the ordained minister / clergy will meet up the Qualification of the National Statistic Office and the Office of the Local Civil Registrar in applying as Solemnizing Officer of Marriage Vows in the Philippines.
Corporation Code of the Philippines provide us guidelines of how to start a Church or found and establish new religion in the Philippines. As long as we comply the necessary requirements, the Philippine Government will not hesitate to issue the Certificate of Incorporation to any new Religious Organization in the Philippines.
