Is this generation incapable of Forgivenes?

  • I'm Struck by a recent event...

Some of you here many know of it:

A popular cooking show hostess made a mistake, a grievous one indeed that offended an employee of hers (and her brothers actions didn't help matters at all).

As the lawsuit goes forward she has been dismissed from the TV program which I have no problems with, it is the Networks right to protect themselves from backlash due to her actions.

What strikes me is this, She offered a sincere sounding apology for her past poor choice of words and attitudes... she acknowledged these attitudes and words were wrong and asked for forgiveness from her audience.

What she got instead was crucifixion.. Twitter flooded with hateful vile and slanderous things aimed at a woman who could easily have meant every word of her apology.

Is this generation so incapable of forgiveness?!

Sojourner Robert Hess well actually she got canned because of the lawsuit, but candle is indeed lit. Yes her statements were vile but she does not deserve to receive hate in exchange for an attempt at the right thing.
