When Will Americans Wake Up

  •           I do not normally involve myself in politics, I vote and other than that I leave the Roderic to those who seem to be much better at pointing fingers and laying blame than I.

I spent over 6 years in the military and I do love my country, I just can not help and wonder how long it will be before Americans wake up.

I've heard every president since time (Republican and Demarcate alike) blamed for everything from the economy, & health care, to war.

The fact of the matter is the president, regardless of party has very limited power in our country.  The true power sits in the senate and house, they are the ones who have homesteaded, some of them for decades passing laws that have sent us to war, the president does not even have the power to declare war, they have rewarded big business for sending jobs overseas, and created a broken social security system. If they spent half as much time worrying about what was good for Americans as they do about party lines, things might just be a little better.

I guess what I'm trying to get at, is Americans need to take a good look around and start voting for those who are voting for Americans instead of their party or their business interest or this special interest group or that.

I just think its about time they stop blaming everything and everyone else but themselves, stop smiling for the news bite and do their Job.

                                                                                      Just an Opinion

Matthew Peters I agree that a change should happen. Do I believe that throwing around the word "Change" as a slogan is going to accomplish anything? Not a chance. It's like crossing your fingers when you see dark clouds coming in the hopes that it wont rain.

    It's...  more
