Evangelist, are we sure?

  There are in fact evangelist doing God's work with total dedication and a pure heart, unfortunately there are and have been those that are not.

            I have seen them go on national tv and claim that God spoke to them and if they did not raise so many hundreds of thousands of dollars by a specific date that God would take their life. One told the public to send their donations in their prayer request, that it would help God answer their prayer, when the police looked in the dumpster behind his office they found thousands of envelops, prayer request still inside, but all the checks had been cashed.

            Jesus never built multi-million dollar cathedrals, ran around in the finest chariot, or even lived in a house on palace row. He fed the poor, healed the sick, cared for the needy, and did not even have a place to lay his head. He was are example.

             Job was told he had done something wrong and was being punished by God, by these that sit themselves in God's seat and judge others. In the end Job's faith was rewarded and all and more were restored to him.

             To these type of evangelist I can only refer them to the scriptures they love to twist, what Jesus himself said to them.  KJV Mat 23:13-15   But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. And KJV Mat 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
