Crucifixion When?

  •               The scripture tells us that Jesus was crucified on the Preparation Day, which was a Friday. The Gospel also tells us that the crucifixion occurred the day before the Passover Festival. The ancient Jewish calendar system has the Passover always beginning on the 14Th day of the Jewish lunar month of Nisan. Putting these two facts together we can come to the conclusion that the crucifixion must of taken place on Nissan 14Th that happened to fall on Friday.

Ancient historical records and the Bible records that Jesus was condemned to death by Pontius Pilate, the Roman Procurator of Judea in the years 26AD through 36AD.

Ancient chronograph's and those that used them, concluded that Jesus was born in 3BC or 2BC, none concluded that he was  born before 4BC.

The Book of Luke indicates that Jesus began his public ministry at about 30 years of age. The Book of John records 3 annual Passover Days during Christ ministry. By utilizing this information we can determine that, according to the Jewish calendar of the day, that there were only two Nissan 14Th that fell on Preparation Day on a Friday. By our current calendar that would of been April 7Th 30AD and April 3rd 33AD. (around what we today celebrate as Easter)

There is a mountain of additional evidence to support this conclusion as well as even the exact date, it is just too much to put into one Blog.
