Man & Wife

  • Too often in our society gender has set the stage for all types of abuses.

In the fifties for the most part women stayed home and the men dominated the work force and as time passed this slowly changed however men still for the most part, statistically anyway are in the higher paid jobs.

Statistically more women are abused than men, but both are abused, and no one should be abused mentally or physically.

Statistically when it comes to crime, men get harsher sentences than women.

In today's times people tend to believe that it should be more of a team effort, sharing duties. You will always have the bully and those who like to mentally abuse. I believe we should try and have respect for each other and try our best to follow scripture.

Galations 3:26- 29 where it states "There is neither Jew or Greek, There is neither Bond nor Free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Now I know someone will say that the scripture says that the wife is to show the husband reverence and it does, but if you read a little it also instructs men to love their wives as themselves, and who in their right mind would abuse someone they love as they do themselves?

Deleted Member Women are abused everywhere particularly if they are outspoken. They are VERY OFTEN blocked from OPPORTUNITY to speak their minds when they DISAGREE with MEN.
