No Time like Now

  • Time has reclaimed the hour it gave; but that is not all.

It's an hour we found when we added it back in the fall.

Time is for people that keep track of life with paper and pens.

Time is fleeting, it's fickle, and travels on gossamer, mystical, winds.

I have lost it, and found it, and sometimes forgot all about it.

I have bought it, I've sold it, and gave it away without thought.

It has snuck up behind me, it has stared me straight in the face.

It's the measure of anyone ever to run in a race.

Now this thing that I speak of with which we are now so concerned.

Is an ongoing measure of all of the things we have learned.

It is valued so highly, treasured by one and by all.

It’s only an hour in time and it happened last fall.~Jay Olson

kiwani [e.lawson] Hi Jay, like your poem on Time... only one thing: we 'gain' an hour in the Fall, & it is taken back/lost in the Spring... Spring Forward [lose hr], Fall Back [gain hr]... I love the Spring, the concept of renewal & the springtime warmth, freshness & beau...  more

Jay Olson Thanks for that. I fixed it. Time is so easy to change sometime. :)
