Today is the day of reckoning, a day that many dread.
The day to pay the piper comes; a price is placed on every head.
We can't avoid accounting for the things that we have done.
There's no escape or hiding; this day arrives for everyone.
Some may dodge or justify their unwillingness to pay.
Make no mistake it just won't work on this great payment day.
Extensions aren't accepted, condoned, or catered to.
Make no excuse it will not wash, we all must pay our due.
So empty out your pockets and line up all of your wealth.
There is no gold in the great beyond you only take your health.
If by chance you get away unscathed and think your home Scott free.
Then think again it's not the end; just take a tip from me.
So if you think I talk about your plight with Uncle Sam.
Think again, the day I mean is with a more important man.
We all can dodge a tax or two, and maybe that’s alright.
