Where the Buffalo is More Than a Nickel

  • This morning I sat up and opened my eyes.
Outside my window stretched cloudless blue skies.
The seeds of sleep I planted in todays soil of things to be.
I planted my dreams and wait to harvest reality.

Mother Earth and Father Time is a highly unlikely pair.
They fly through space in an orbiting waltz with such an impeccable air.
Existing together in orbiting dance; It's not really as hard as it seems.
It's just balance with timing and never losing sight of your dreams.

It's Earth Day today, life is to celebrate.
Take care of our planet as we take care of our mate.
It's Earth Day today; plant seeds in your life.
Tomorrow the harvest may keep you from strife.

Today is but one day in the upcoming year.
Let's take care of our planet and be of good cheer.
Respect it and nourish the place we abide.
Saving something for the future is what we call pride.~Jay Olson
