Bike tired and ready to snooze.
On my back and out for the count.
Watching the kites through my eyelids.
Laid out flat like an empty old sock.
Resting and waiting for supper.
Riding on daisy is how the day goes.
Tomorrow is Monday and I must ride on.
Taking it easy on field of green.
Pretending to sleep is so easy.
Not overrated is napping in sunshine.
It's good for whatever may ail you.
It's a difficult job but someone must do it.
I have volunteered many a time.
Wake me and shake me at the end of the day.
I'll pick up my two wheeler and be on my way.
Knowing of course that when the coming week ends.
I will come back next Sunday and do this again.~Jay Olson.
