Dreams and Possibilities

  Sitting and eating a scone with my tea.

  I’m discussing all things that are or might be.

  It’s all on the table; we never do know.

  How things will work out, or how they will go.

   

  It’s all so uncertain; many questions abound.

  Answers are many.  Will the right ones be found?

  We may have all the answers; it’s the questions we ask.

  To match them correctly is the difficult task.

   

  While patiently sitting with scones and hot tea,

  My mind wanders freely; I now plainly see.

  I see that the future is coming at last.

  It will soon be today; and tomorrow, the past.

   

  When the future approaches and you feel all alone;

  Drink up your tea and finish your scone.

  Put a smile on your face and be of good cheer.

  The future you plan for; soon will be here.~Jay Olson
