Song of the Mistral

  • Wind blows in lofty trees.
    Sailing currents converge and connect.
Feel the breeze, it won't hurt.
    Lazily listen; hum silently.
Where is the kite that flies?
    How high will it travel?
    Music is in the air.
    Windblown melody of time.
    Tempos beating unevenly, yet rhythmically.
    Who hears the song played?
    Players and listeners all.
    Nothing has lyrics.
    Everything tells a story.
    Notes are all we have.
    Pass them along.
    Fly them in the wind.
    Sing them at night.
    Lullabies of nature.
    Reveille sounds for all.
    Arise to face the wind.
    Arise and sing out!~Jay Olson
