I watched the sun rise outside of my window--the coolness of night on my brow.
The new day awakens birds in their nests--Hear the song of the new day now.
The fog is slowly burning away--my dreams are now fading to light.
Life begins anew with the dawn--tis the end of another dark night.
Time can pass slowly or time can pass fast--time will pass by, none the less.
The hands keep moving around and around--when they stop is anyones guess.
The future lies beyond my reach--it dances beyond my hand.
Tomorrow beckons and calls to me--my footsteps falter in shifting sand.
Promises and predictions echo--they ring inside of my ear.
When and where does the future lie? The answer is drawing near.
Doubts and fears cascading down like rain in the pitch black night.
When will I know the answer--that all will,end up right?
Today began with the morning light shining brightly upon my bed.
Today was the day the test would speak--the veil of mystery shed.
Today was the day that the answers--would be whispered into my ear.
Today I will learn if tomorrow will be a time of sorrow or cheer.~Jay O.
