I walked upon a darkened bridge--it lay inside my head.
I walked upon a darkened bridge--I knew not where it led.
The air was still as still could be--the silence roared a song
I knew not where I was headed--I had not walked for long.
Below me lay a quiet dark--it echoed in my brain.
Thoughts devoid of answers fell down like a driving rain.
Why? I've asked myself in vain--must I walk this bridge tonight.
Where will my journey take me? Will my journey lead to light?
I walked upon a darkened bridge--I had no light to guide.
Step by step I made my way--this was no time to hide.
I listen but I do not hear--I look but do not see.
The bridge I walk upon this night--leads to eternity.
I close my eyes and whisper low--I hum a comforting tune.
Step by step I travel on--I hope I'll get there soon.
Where I am heading, I do not know--it remains a mystery.
Where ever it may take me--I'm sure it's meant to be.~Jay O.
