Ship Ahoy

  • A ship sails over the ocean blue--the stars travel through space. Alone in the blue, we are traveling along--moving at a snails pace. It may sometimes seem like eternity, when we're waiting for something good. We should never try to advance the clock--even if we could. The wide open space of eternity, reaches out like an unending song. The ticking of time continues--as our ship sails slowly along. We fly with the wind and tack with the tide--we sleep in the calm of the lee. It's a long and lonesome journey from where we began, to our ultimate destiny. The sun rises over the Eastern sky and a wind comes out of the West. The morning dew is on our sail--it's the time of day I love best. It's a time to renew all hopes and plans--to reflect on the day gone by. The morning always brings thoughts of hope--it does, and I don't know why. So I'll sail today on this ship I'm on--I'll sail along in the breeze. A song will probably float through my head--a song about birds in the trees. I'll sail all day and into the night; with the ultimate goal in my sight. Sailing alone in the wide open blue is a wild and wonderful flight.~Jay O.
