My dear friend Pearly Sue and I were discussing Paganism and she asked me to write down ten things I believe. The list is appended below. I have to preface them with this one caveat: Everyone gets to believe what they want to believe. I make no attempt to change people's religious beliefs. This is just for information purposes.
1. The Gods watch over us - and they have a sense of humor.
2. The Gods temper the wind for the shorn lamb (they don't throw things at you that you can't handle).
3. Either the Gods come in male and female OR God has both a masculine and feminine side.
4. All you need to do in order to get to the after life is believe that you will.
5. Eternity does not mean to the Gods what it does to us. (in fact, time may not mean the same to them).
6. Love and forgiveness will get you further than hate and anger.
7. Harm none except in self defense.
8. There may be as many Gods as there are people to believe in them or all prayers may be heard by the same entity.
9. Lots of things happen for reasons we don't understand. That is no reason to stop thinking for ourselves.
10. We possess within ourselves more power than we know.
