STAY COOL AND COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

  • I am in front of a tiny desk fan with a blue lunchbox ice pack from a dollar store parked on a plate in front of it (poor woman's air conditioning) and I have another ice pack at the base of my spine and ice water in a cup.  GOD IS GOOD.  I have a roof over my head, literally (top attic floor with slopped roof in every small room), a computer and a GOD WHO LOVES ME. Imagine what our ancestors did without AC.  The house I live in was divided into apartments about 100 years ago.  It was built in 1732 so I guess people did live here without AC but they used to have a huge tree out front and the city cut that down last year so the sun beats down directly on the slopped roof of our tiny 4 room apartment where 3 people live.  If I owned this building I would put solar panels on the roof and get free AC from the SUN !

Please keep my husband in prayer.  He has a full-time job finally after being out of work for 7 years following an accident but NOW I don't have a paid job. As some of you know, my husband is almost completely blind as a result of nerve damage sustained in the accident.  He took off a week of vacation this week and thinks he earns a big salary and has no grip on the cost of living.   I haven't had a full time job for 3 years.  But for the 7 years hubby was out of work I worked 3 full-time jobs getting by on 1 to 2 hours sleep per night by the grace of GOD.  Did some volunteer work for 6 months from November 2009 to May 2010 AND worked a lot of temp placements over the past 3 years. The job they promised me at the place I volunteered didn't pan out.  Oh well.  I sort of paid my dues by now with everything I did in the past.  In the end I lost $150,000 in equity when we lost our home to foreclosure that being as a direct result of my husband becoming depressed and running away from home for 18 months between March of 2007 and August of 2008.  PRAY FOR HIS SPIRIT.  Father Leslie is very depressed again and this time it is worse.  This morning he said he was running away from home again so we hid his keys from him until he went and sat in a tub of cold water to calm himself down while we prayers.

I pray each day for the PEACE OF GOD to sustain me.

GOD IS MY LOVER.  GOD IS GOOD TO ME.  HE WILL ALWAYS LOVE ME.  I TRUST HIM AND HIM ALONE.
    THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS.

    With Gratitude for Your Faithfulness,

    ELDER MOTHER NANHI

Helena Brunnelson Elder Mother Nanhi - It would not be right if I did not honor your strength and preserverance in life. There are times when I do not think that I will make it through the day. I have found that, as of late, I have been struggling with a long time friend...  more
