Several weeks ago Father Leslie hit a major slump spiritually. Quite discouraged for many reasons he was not even talking to his own family. I ASKED THE Ministers Network for PRAYER AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS on his behalf.
On Tuesday last week my husband went to visit a client's home for the first time after being out of the office for a "vacation" during which time he had become very discouraged due to extreme weather conditions. He is a social worker. He called me at the end of his work day to tell me that he was a little stunned with what happened just as he was leaving this woman's home. His client, who is wheelchair bound, stated she had a gift for him. She asked if she could sing for him. Not wanting to offend an elderly woman, he quietly said yes. She began to sing a very old hymn and then began to pray, " GOD, thank you for bringing me this fearless, sightless warrior, so that I can be encouraged and no longer feel sorry for myself. May I have the courage he has to go out in this world without fear of safety or fear of scorn. AMEN. " Needless to say Fr. Leslie was stunned and hasn't stopped talking about that experience since !
GOD IS IN CHARGE. Our prayers were heard !
THERE IS EVIDENCE OF A POWER GREATER THAN US ALL...
THE CREATOR reaches out to us in LOVE...even when we forget to reach out to THE CREATOR for LOVE.
SOMETIMES GOD SAYS it better and in a more powerful WAY than we as friends and family ever could.
