Welcome to the ULC Minister's Network

Abp William Higginbotham OSB

vocations, vocations, vocations, where are all the vocations

  • I am a bishop with the pre Roman Church of Ireland, that is the Columban Church of Ireland in America or here in America the Anglo Celtic Catholic Church.

I am also the vocations director and Abbot Ordinary of the Abbey of Our Lady Help of Christians Abbey.  I was uncertain about using this channel to speak to the openness of vocations witht the Chruch of Ireland, but I now feel it is appropiate.

We are steeped in the apostolic tradition and seven sacraments of the Catholic faith.  We are faithful to the seven first Ecumenical Councils and three Creeds.  We are traditional docturnally and dogmatically but liberal socially.  We have a married clergy, open door policy towards gays and women to all the sacraments of the Church and observe all the Rites and Rituals of the various Rites reconized as valid masses or Divine Liturgies.

We are open to discuss callings to and incardnation to Holy Orders and Religious and Monastic Life.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  Our Abbey also has Oblates for those who may be interested in living the life of the Third Order or lay oblation.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Peace and all good things,

    Bp. William Higginbotham, OSB

Abbot of Our Lady Help of Christians Abbey

See of the Diocese of the Carolinas

Provost to the Patriarch of the
