You may wonder why I use the faceless headscarf / hijab for my profile pic. It's actually quite simple. I use it to honor and represent the faceless women we do not know, who are abused, ridiculed, even killed, all because they cover. There is far too much hate in this world. We need to learn to love, and to tolerate before it's too late.
So, I stand for my Pagan, Islamic, Christian, and all Sisters who cover. Be it for spirituality, or to honor their husbands by hiding a part of themselves for his enjoyment alone. I stand with all my Sisters, and will fight for their right to cover, and not be forced to uncover in public, just because someone fears a covered woman through ignorance.
