Welcome to the ULC Minister's Network

REV. Donald Vulhop Jr.

was homeless at one time and living on the banks of ohio

  • I BECAME HOMELESS IN 2008 AND LIVING ON THE BANKS OF THE OHIO RIVER BETWEEN BOTH STADIUMS IN DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI. LIVED THERE FOR 2 YRS THE MOVED OVER BY GEST STREET TIL I MOVED TO MISSOURI IN OCT. OF 2011. LIVED IN A TENT ALL YEAR AROUND AND HAD TROUBLE WITH THE CINCINNATI POLICE THE WHOLE TIME I WAS HOMELESS I HAD TO REPLACE 2 TENTS WHILE BEING HOMELESS BECAUSE THEY WOULD CUT THEM UP AND THREW MY STUFF ALL OVER THE PLACE. THE ONLY GOOD THING THAT HAPPENED WAS I MET SOME VERY NICE CHURCH GROUPS THAT WOULD TAKE TIME TO COME AND FEED AND WORSHIP WITH ME.

ONE DAY I WAS DOWN ON MY LUCK AND WAS HAVING TROUBLE WHEN THIS GUY JUST CAME UP TO ME AND ASKED TO PRAY FOR ME AND AFTER HE PRAYED WITH ME HE ASKED WHAT WAS WRONG AND HE LISTENED TO ME FOR OVER 2 HOURS AND THEN HE HUGGED ME TOLD ME LOVED ME AND THAT HE WOULD SEE ME AGAIN. I DIDNT BELIEVE HIM AND NEXT DAY HE SHOWED UP WITH HIS FRIENDS BROUGHT FOOD AND WOOD THEN HE CALLED ME TO THE SIDE AND ASKED WHERE DO YOU WANT ME TO PUT UP YOUR NEW TENT AND GAVE ME ALL KINDS OF STUFF. I TOLD HIM WHAT THE POLICE WERE DOING TO US AND TO MY SURPRISE IT ALL STOPPED FOR AWHILE.

THE MAN THAT SAVED ME IS NOW A PASTOR HIMSELF AND HAS HIS KNOW CHURCH AND IS DOING REALLY WELL WITH THE HOMELESS.

MY LIFE IN MISSOURI STARTED OUT ROUGH BUT IS GETTING BETTER AND IM GLAD I LEFT OHIO AND PRAISE GOD IM NO LONGER HOMELESS.. I AM NOW TRYING TO START MY OWN CHURCH AND ALSO TRYING TO START PROGRAMS FOR THE HOMELESS AND RIGHT NOW IT IS VERY HARD TO DO BOTH WHEN THERE IS NO HELP AROUND TO START BOTH.. I AM PUTTING IT IN TO GOD'S HAND NOW
