11th July 2011 ..... Recently Congressman Rangel held a news conference where he asked "What would Jesus do" about the debt problem. Rangel summed up his argument by saying, "You know all of this is biblical... If you read your bibles and you read the spiritual scriptures you will see that clearly that Jesus would have something to say about this debate".
Over the weekend former Arkansas Governer Mike Huckabee on Fox News channel in response (saying Cogressman Rangel needed to read his bible) quoted the following passage You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. (Deuteronomy 28)
I agree with Governer Huckabee for back in November of last year I posted on Facebook a post which contained a refrence to the same passage. Here is part of the what I posted.
We are all aware the USA national debt how it has grown. The intent of this note is not to blame a particular leader but to be a warning. Scriptue says You will lend to

bottom. (Deuteronomy 28) So if we as a nation borrow from other nations we become the tail and no longer be the head. The USA is heading in the wrong direction
