LOVE THE NEW COVENANT

  • LOVE the new covenant

In the recent hurricane that caused so much destruction and hardships we saw people from every state and community every social, political and religious group come together in the time of need.

It makes me wonder why is it that people only put away those things that divide us only when there is suffering. You no longer hate your neighbor because he’s gay, because he puts his trash in front of your house, because his kids are little terrors, his religion, his political beliefs, his job, his education, his economic status, his race etc..

The truth is none of those stupid things matter when there is suffering people just want to help each other. People show more compassion, sympathy, consideration and so much love for their fellow man that it is an amazing thing to behold.

Why can’t we appreciate and love each other all the time? When we unambiguously have the capability of doing so, it makes us look human.

    Jesus said in John 13:34-35
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
    Romans 13:8
[Love Fulfills the Law] Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.

We who believe in GOD, A Higher Power or Intelligent Design are the reason in most cases stopping the world from knowing love because we don’t love each other.  We fight and separate ourselves by our man made religions, false doctrines that have nothing to do with our chosen paths that we fail to see how it is hurting us and the rest of the world in a profound way.

My desire is that through the social liberalism society we can discuss these issues and come to a mutual understanding of where GOD, A Higher Power or Intelligent Design wants us to be in a brother or sisterhood of love.
