The really hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal. "Many of them are normal
because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that
they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does." They are normal not in what may be called the
absolute sense of the word; they are normal only in relation to a profoundly abnormal society. Their perfect adjustment to that
abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness. These millions of abnormally normal people, living without fuss in a society to
which, if they were fully human beings, they ought not to be adjusted, still cherish "the illusion of individuality," but in fact they have
been to a great extent deindividualized. Their conformity is developing into something like uniformity. But "uniformity and freedom are
incompatible. Uniformity and mental health are incompatible too .... Man is not made to be an automaton, and if he becomes one, the
basis for mental health is destroyed."
Remember that one from brave new world? I offer it for two reasons. The primary to comfort those of you who are "closet sane" still and cope with society day not by "adjusting" but by deceit.
Funny ol world isn't? Especially here of late when we see people we know better saying "adjusted" things so it is they who are not ostracized by the less fortunate in intellect or character.
I also offer it because of the large number of people who "rise up and follow the beast" yet still seek either counsel or convenience of the people of G-d. We grow more and more over run with mindless autobots who have adjusted so well there's nothing left of any human, practical or instinctual responce. You see them all the time, but they aren't lying - they are truly that far gone.
In times like these, such persons, barely able to function at all, are employed most by the very authors of the "zombie, body, mind and spirit" to "see something, say something" as a further assault on all that is christian and American by intimidating others into the lie of silence. The closing of the mouth. The further destruction of the presence of the Word.
I offer it because it is better to hide from a devil than be one and for your own mental sake as well as your soul, it may do you good to know that has been the resort of persons in every time of falseness, fascism, tyranny, oppression and genocide. It is what makes you "normal" for a "human".
