Discovering Your True Spiritual Identity

  • WE all have a physical presence that we live within.  Not just our bodies, but within the walls we have built to establish who we are in the physical world around us.  This presance, this physical form, is far from the spiritual essence that was created when we entered this reality.  Upon our entrance into this, for a lack of a better word, world, we were instinctive beings.  That is to say, we were naturally spiritual, intuitive beings, that had a direct relationship with the creator.  After all, we are as much the creator as the creator is us. The creators energy flowes through us now as much as it did upon our entering this exhistance.  But as we gain life experience, we loose contact with that natural, intuitave connection, and start to define ourselves by the types of experiences we encounter.  To better deal with the physical world, we suppress our spiritual self and expand our physical footprint.  In time our spiritual self is so small and subdued, that we forget all the natural knowledge we entered this world with.

There is a process in which we can retrace out life experience, and by doing so, identify critical points in life that have shaped our physical self.  As we do this, we can once again connect with our natural, instinctive spirit.

In the future, I will discribe this process in detail.  This process will allow each of us to regain the instinctive ability to recognize our spiritual essence, and reconnect with the creator in a very personnel way.  Please join me in this spiritual journy of discovery and reconnection.

kiwani [e.lawson] John, I look forward to your next description of this process... I agree with you, we are often very disconnected from the source because of our very busy & fragmented lives... we are all very good at wearing our masks that keep us separate... "my face is...  more

Michael de la Om :-) John and Kiwani, I would highly recommend the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Kahn, his Sufi teachings and thoughts run parallel to the theme of your blog. Reconnection, etc. Peace to you both!
