The Big Farewell

  • Reality is what it is, and what it ain't it ain't.

    Sometimes, what it is it ain't, and what it ain't, well... it is.

    Other times it is nothing, and then it ain't nothing.

    But, if it is nothing, it ain't, and if it ain't nothing, it is.

    Acknowledging nothing gives nothing existence;

    Therefore, whether it is or it ain't, it must be,

    Because even nothing that ain't, already is.

    I have done this now, this blogging, for almost seven years.  I have enjoyed it immensely, especially rattling the cages of the League of the Perpetually Offended, not that it really took much effort.  The fact is, I'm tired.  I've received several emails from ULC Monastery readers worried about me, and that should be a wake-up call for any sane person. Perhaps this is, finally, my mind coming to grips with my father's passing.  I don't know.

    I will continue to volunteer as Lead Chaplain at the local medical center and continue to deliver a  PTSD group presentation there every Wednesday, as long as the medical center continues to get good reviews about it.

    I will also continue to post, less often, on both of my Facebook sites until such time as Facebook determines religion and spirituality somehow are incompatible with their socialist agenda.  I fear it won't take much to silence freedom of thought from their site.  For those who wish to continue following me, my blog and two Facebook site will continue to be open and you can message me through either site.

    Be happy.  Love life.  Mentor those who will listen, and continue to love those who won't.  Remember that it is your path and only you can walk it.  No one can walk it for you.  Only you can, and only you may.  Remember that yesterday is gone and those lessons have been set.  Do not be more concerned about tomorrow than you are reviewing the lessons from yesterday.  These lessons will guide you through your tomorrows,  in this life and the next.  Grasp that time is a human concept and has no real meaning for your continued existence.

    Reality is really this simple.  Do not bog yourself down with perpetual offense at every little thing.  It really isn't worth the effort to do it or to fight it.  It will wear you out and gain you nothing.  Learn to let other people's issues and drama drop from your path, they aren't yours so why fret over them.

    If you do nothing else in life, learn to visit the Abyss, and relish your time at the Cust of Infinity.  You will learn much from staring into both.

    Bless all of you, and thank you for your fellowship, friendship, and continued support.
