The Relationship Between Science and God and the Future of Religion

  • As a firm believer that God is a greater whole (a force of nature, or nature itself) I often find that science continues to present theories suggesting the very notion of a greater entity that composes all of us.  In essence, current theory suggests that a large porttion of life is random (Quantum Physics) and thus out of human control entirely.  This random force may in fact be God, the "Over-Soul" as Emerison referred to it.  I propose that religion embrace science for all attempts to discover the universe must converge at one point or another.

The reason that many people are turning from religion in the Western World (One of the few place where it is safe to do so) is because religion is becoming outdated, no improvements or core mechanics have changed.  Science is a constantly evolving system that offers hope and promises of great things just like religion does; however, science does not ask one to believe without reason.  Religion must enhance itself to meet the demands of the public.

Religion has a large valley to crawl out of.  Over the centuries, religion has been used to oppress countless humans and many people are still warey of such.  As members of the religious world, we must seperate ourselves from the past and produce a shining future.

All religions of the world have a common goal: spiritual salvation.  In order to ensure the survival of this core concept, religion must be revamped for today's modern human.
