Climbing the Mountain

  •

    I wrote this awhile back....

    Climbing the Mountain
    Everyone climbs the mountain
As I climb I look back over all the rocks, ledges, and trees that I have over come. You see I will never get to the top of the mountain, No one will. For it is not getting to the top that is important but the climb that takes your whole life to do. All the hard times when it took all your strength and will to make it to the next flat resting place was to prove you could do it. All the falls that took you back down, some only a few feet, others miles, showed you that was the wrong path. At which time you stopped and decided to take your life in another direction. Sometimes it seems we get pushed down...but if you truely look deep it was someone helping show you another path that you needed to take. And if you are at a point when you feel that you just can not go on. Stop, close your eyes, breath slow deep breathes, and reach for the next rock to pull yourself up and there will be a helping hand. It may be a family member, a friend, or someone you do not know. But it will be there because it always is. And it reminds you to look down and help the person below you. For you see if not for the climb we would not learn how to struggle, lend a helping hand or find the strength within our selves to do the right things in life. And we are all here to learn, help and climb the mountain of life. So when you feel that you are falling into the dark black hole, just stop and close your eyes, breath and let the spirit of life guide you to the path up the mountain that you need at that time in your life.
