"21 Days of Prayer" Day 3: Why Affirmative Prayer?

  •

    Good Morning.

Yesterdays assignment was to note through the day my connect to god, the divine and all that it is; adundance, joy, love, .. and be those things.. be conscious of it. I found that I went along through the day like I normally would until suddenly something would remind me of the assignment. I would pause mentally, even while working, walking home, of the great Divine that I am a part of and that is inside and composes me. Each time I did this small awareness, it made me sigh, breath deeply, and feel a wonderful tingling run through me. Joy filled me and I felt lighter, less heavy, let down some of my usual guard against the world. I felt softer inside, and more open to those around me.

I think I will add it to every day.

Here is todays prayer suggestion from Skip.

Just For Today “21 Days of Prayer-Day 3”

Meditative Thought: Why Affirmative Prayer? Prayer is our spiritual thoughts, and thoughts create our existence. If we believe that God is out to get us, then that becomes our truth. If we declare our separation from God and live as a victim, we deem ourselves as powerless. Affirmative prayer is a tool to shift our consciousness from victim to Victor. Prayer is a way to return our mind and our thinking back to God. The prodigal son only remained the prodigal son as long as he wanted. He always had the power to return home. Prayer is our road map home.

Spiritual Assignment: Today, consciously release the victim, and live as a victor. At the end of your day, take time to journal your experience.

Affirmations: Just for today, I pray and shift. I am a Victor and I release the victim. And so I am. And so I let it be. Amen.
