21 Days of Prayer, Day 20: God's Will?

  •

    Good Morning!

Well here is an interesting turn of events! I read this prayer this morning and my very 1st thoughts were, "I disagree with this!"

I have read Ernest Holmes, quite diligently for a while. My passion for connection to spirit, (which is ever present in spite of my awareness or understanding) has pushed me to grow for as long as I can remember, and that is many decades now!

Pondering this prayer will be interesting today. It will push me to take my pre-disposed beliefs, challenge them, and see what is possible.

I admit I am not of this mind set. I do not believe that any one or anything has pre-determined my life. If that were true then god would have choosen suffering, pain, loneliness, & desperation to consume me at times in order for me to learn and grow. And I do not believe in a God that is anything other than the deepest of love, the widest of compassion, the most generous of providers. As a parent myself, I suffer when my childern stumble and fall, their scraps, bruises, cuts, broken hearts are also mine. I watch as they experience the vibrational spectrum of emotion of life, and my desire is always to help them out, to protect them, to provide rich abundance for them. However, they too were born with the gift of free will. Of the passion to live life fully, to walk through with wide eyed wonder and courage to discover the endless realms of possibilities of creating, just as the Divine has. We learn our strength, power, imaginations, possibilities through God's wonderous examples.

So, to me, God's will for me? Get out there and play! Create! Love! Live! Breath in fragrant air, drink up fully of life and all that you can create! (Don't forget to play nice!)

Have  a beautiful day, and don't forget, you are loved, in ways beyond your understanding simply, because you are.

Just For Today “21 Days of Prayer-Day 20”

Meditative Thought: “True prayer must be, Thy will be done.” Ernest Holmes

God’s will is to bless you to the fullest capacity possible. The challenge is when we get in the way by putting God in a box. When we ask God for the blessing to look a certain way; it limits our possibilities. God is infinite and God's will is for you to share in infinite wealth, supply, and possibilities. God’s will is to see you live the biggest, most amazing life ever.

Spiritual Assignment: Today, surrender to God’s will, which is your highest good. Write a letter to the Universe proclaiming your commitment to God’s will.

Affirmations: Just for today, my will is God’s will and God’s will is my will. And so I let it be. Amen
