Hypocrisy of the Soul

  • I need to express, my sorrow, my confusion and my utter horrific sense of wonder at how certain elements of society function. How you can have a person that claims to be a "Christian" which is defined as one who follows the teachings of Christ. Not my religion, but bear with me here. They go to church, they sing and smile and say how much Love that they have and how kind and charitable they are for tithing, How they do not curse, or drink alcohol or what all else and then someone does something that does not agree with what they believe and these same smiling, warm fluffy people will reach up and peel their masks away to reveal this hate filled, leering, spitting, frothing vitriolic monster that screams and lashes out with words, weapons or both about how wrong you are, and how you are going to burn in hell fire and some even plot murder to stop what they see as sin from happening, yes a sin to prevent a sin, an eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind. Historically and today these people will torture, rape, kill, burn and destroy anything that they do not agree with and the whole while will be convinced of their righteousness, purity and holiness. I see Evil in that, I see Foulness so deep and thick in that hypocrisy. Your own God states Do Not Judge and you ignore that, Do Not Kill, and you ignore that. People, it is elegantly simple. IF there is a God and IF this God is what they claim to be, then when I die I will find myself before them and I will have to deal with my own soul and my own choices and the results of those choices. This judgement will only effect me. It will all be between me and God and that is how it should be. If you do not agree with my choices, then you do not have to follow them. You can choose to do something else and when you die you can also be one on one with your God and either found pure or found wanting, but either way, your life does not effect mine. Stop trying to FORCE the whole to do things the way you think they should be done, even if you are correct it is wrong to force your will onto another. If there are rules and if someone does choose to break them they will be held accountable for that and it will have nothing to do with you. Live and let Live, offer counsel certainly. But if someone decides not to obey you, let them. It is not your place to judge, not your place to punish. You are solely accountable for yourself. So, stop the Hate, stop the Violence and be a living example of this benign being you claim to follow, not just another monster in human skin.

Jeff Roberts Just citing the most common belief I have heard from those that adhere to them. Semantics aside, the core idea of stop hating and killing over a difference in belief remains.

Mystic Angel know is that is where they desire to be and they just go. People who are inheritantly "evil" or have no desire to go for whatever reason won't go because they have no desire to and don't want to let go of whatever it is they are holding onto. No...  more

Mystic Angel They can preach and threaten all they want, but we all are forced to face ourselves in the end, and this is what makes us equal. There is no right or wrong answer, especially since I have been guilty of that anger as well, but I have learned that my own s...  more
