Treating Others

  • Message

I went to the store just the other day and as I was just about ready to leave, I see these two ladies in an isle arguing. They didn’t look like they were related or even knew each other. They were slinging insults back and forth at each other and talked about going outside to fight. So I calmly went over and asked if everything was alright. I was immediately attacked by both people telling me to F*** Off and mind my own business. I explained I just wanted to help. Eventually, I learned that the whole argument started because one lady came out of the lane and hit the other lady’s cart. A whole argument that almost broke out into a fist fight was because sometimes it is hard to see coming out of a lane. When I went home I couldn’t help but think where is our humanity? What happened to do unto others as you would have them do unto you? EVERY SINGLE PERSON is a creature of God. Which means every single person is Special, Valuable, and Unique, and deserves to be treated with love, kindness, and respect. Let as all keep that in mind and be mindful of the way we treat others.

    Challenge

Go out into the world today and do something nice for someone else.

    Scripture

John 13:34-35- 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Luke 6:31- “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

Ephesians 4:32- “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

Jessie VanVleet I try to do this everyday in life. I hope making someone smile can cause a chain reaction that will continue on with that person and on to the next.
