Faith

  • I am having such a sprititual confliction right now (if that is a word).  I was born and raised Catholic.  As I read more and more trying to become more open and spiritual I find I stray away from the Catholic idology.  I think the more I read the more my eyes have been opened not only to other views of religion and just how narrow the Catholic church's vision of religion is.  I can't fault other religions for their faith, but isn't that really all one God no matter what his/her name is?  Isn't the main goal to believe that there is someone or something bigger and better than ourselves?  Who cares is you call it Buddah, Yaweh, or Jesus Christ just belive in something bigger and more powerful than humans?  Does it matter if it is the belief that all animals, trees and substances have a right to exist (like the Indians used to believe that Mother Earth was the creator)?  Trying to grapple all this information is overwhelming but it is sure making me be more sympathetic to others' struggles.

Scott Bruno YES! It is awesome to hear this and to see more and more beginning to place their curiosity into working order. What's ironic is when you delve so deep into theological research that you begin to realize they are all of the same source. Example, Paganism ...  more
