     Understanding Scriptural Writings

What God really expects from His children

Much can be spoken of on scriptural writings, I have a desire to study and understand as best can of theological writings. Regardless of their time of production and origin. I am a student of theology, not just Christian but also every religion of mankind’s creation, or concepts of worship inspired by God.

We are told by all concepts or beliefs they are writings of God’s words of wisdom to mankind. However, we cannot escape the facts that all are put to pen as it maybe and then translated by the ignoble hand of man, and do not forget the fact that they are done so in the pursuit of money, power and control of others for their bidding.

This is why my wife and I do our own studies, not from corporate churches who have their own concepts and agendas, believing their beliefs are above others and the only correct one. Study material cannot always be construed as canonical or non-canonical.

All scripture asserting the works of the Gospel are inspired by God, and to a true child of God is understood to be in the spirit of its writing and holy truth it contains. Negative thoughts, hatred and writings demeaning any of God’s children because of race or sexual creation is known as false teachings in the writing of the Old and New Testament.

The argument over the right of women to speak or be heard in church has been one for centuries. And yet Jesus Christ had many women as preachers or church leaders.

I’m not looking for secret knowledge of how to transcend out of my earthly body to a heavenly one of eternal existence, but to find how we as a people can find peace, harmony in our lowly existence together, here on our earth.

Was not this exactly what Jesus was trying to do for us, He said He came not to judge us but to save us, from whom was he saving us but, ourselves, our own ignorance, and judgement of one another.

We can study every text of ancient origin looking too find the lessons we need to achieve this goal. Every gnostic word or phrase, down to the last jot, and never learn anything but for our blind eyes to the facts, we are the basic problem with mankind’s troubles, being a stiff-necked people.

The simplest truths are the biggest stumbling block for mankind, it is for us to see the simplicity of Jesus’s teachings in his words. However often ignorant we maybe, let us look at some of these truths in scripture.

From the old testament a statement of truth over looked from the beginning and dismissed by the Orthodox Church as not referring to us but ancient Jewish cultures.

Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

Even here we see the importance to clarify the fact that we are all brothers and sisters under one God created equally one and another. And to harm one another we are breaking the true covenant we have with God. As spoken of by Jesus, Matt. 18:3-7; Mark 9:38-42; Matt. 10:40-42; Luke 9:45-48.

The Orthodox Church stipulates this as scripture pertaining to the Jewish faith of times past not to be applied to us! But! Did not Jesus come in order to gather the outcast of Israel, all into the fold?

Matt. 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matt. 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matt. 18:5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

Matt. 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Matt. 18:7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

Matt. 10:40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Matt. 10:41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

Matt. 10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Mark 9:38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

Mark 9:39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

Mark 9:40 For he that is not against us is on our part.

Mark 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

Mark 9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Luke 9:45 But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.

Luke 9:46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.

Luke 9:47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,

Luke 9:48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

Luke 9:49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.

Luke 9:50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

Do not reject any children, for we are all God’s children, a child lives innocent in the world, not being an adult, hardened and lost in worldly values and expectations. This is why we should be as little children. Hatred is not of or in a child of God’s heart or soul.

Isa. 56:8 The Lord GOD, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

So, by this perspective we are all one people under one God, no matter race, color, creed or faith. We are to be gathered as sheep of the same flock, in Jesus Christ Gospel.

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. [Isa. 56:8; Eph. 2:14]

    Ephesians 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Jesus removed the wall between Jew and Gentile, making us one people under God. No longer adversaries of each other. We have all become chosen of God.

Dr. Martin Luther King, God rest his soul in heaven, dreamed of a time he would see what he called a coalition rainbow of people. To wit all mankind would function in harmony and peace, being of one blood.

All who believe and live to achieve these noble goals, are doing the works of God, we should all pray and work toward these expectations. This is the only way we can all find salvation and grace from God.

This coalition rainbow is here today and has been for some time, if you have difficulty believing this, have a genetic test done on yourself and family, you will find you are more than just white or black. But a combination of the world’s humanity.

The term white and black does not apply but to a racist history of classifying people and sorting them out based on skin color, how antiquated and racist can one get.

I myself have had a test done, I knew I had native American blood and Spanish, also French on my beloved Mother’s side. But the test revealed more much more, this is who I am.

     My Genetic Ancestry:

    55% French

    Additional Communities:

Acadian, East Central Louisiana Acadians (Cajun)

    26% Native American-North, Central, South

    North Coahuila & South Texas

Nuevo Leon, North Tamaulipas & South Texas

    7% English, Wales, Northwestern Europe

    3% Spain

    2% Germanic Europe

    2% European Jew

    1% Ireland & Scotland

    1% Middle East

    1% Portugal

    1-3% Cameron

1-3% Congo Republic of the republic in Central Africa

    1-3% South Bantu Peoples

1-3% Senegal Republic of northwestern Africa

And yet I have been called Cracker and Honky Whitey in my community I now live. My wife and I never get upset and have always felt we are to be known as human beings, words used by ancient Native Americans to describe other people, different from themselves.

This animosity has found its way into our local government for years, when we filled out paper work for our Katrina Grant money we put human being on the form, not acceptable terms for our local government in Mississippi.

Being told as a young child growing up in Texas in the 50’s, I wasn’t white but had to use the door marked “other.” In Texas these are the terms for non-white citizens then. A black person, Hispanic or Mexican American is a Native American crossed with a Spaniard in the days of Cortez.

So, I used Native American on the form, this brought more confusion to our local government. They actual sent two Native American’s from a tribe up north to speak to us of our needs. As if we lived in tents and practiced their old understandings of worshipping animals and nature. Although! These things are created by God and show examples of life to mankind.

During the time of our application our local government representative require we sign a promissory note we stay in our home 4518 Martin St. Moss point MS.

After the five inspections and condemnations of our property, we were told it would cost $265,000.00 to rebuild to new codes here.

The Federal representative informed us it would be best to find a house outside of the flood zone. We would only be receiving $100,000.00 for grant money.

We told the young lady we had to sign a promissory note to stay at our old address. Her response was, the Federal Government was giving us our grant not MS.

The state held on to our grant money until after Hurricane Rita hit Galveston TX. We looked for a year for a home within our price range, before Katrina we could find properties for $45,000.00 to $65,000.00 no problem, after Katrina all those properties reached prices over $120,000.00 to $165,000.00.

We found a little fixer upper out side of Lucedale MS, within our range, then our president Bush said to seek help from your local churches.

We were sure we qualified, not only for monetary reasons alone but my wife and I are disable, she has ACC a neurological problem and a fusion done on her neck from an on the job accident. Now also has two hips replaced from working on the property in George County. I suffer from a genetic disorder in my back, failed back surgery and other physical disorders and troubles my neck from several accidents in our vehicle which is still not covered by Medicare but USAA insurance. I went to therapy for over a year for it and nothing could be done.

The lack of concern from the local churches in this area and the area of Lucedale was unbelievable, all we heard was we aren’t doing that anymore, everyone went to Galveston. We can’t cross county line to help you, God cannot cross physical boundaries?  Or we would be asked how much money we had for labor, I offered $5.00 an hour for every volunteer showing up, figuring it would be donated to the church, in general I would see 15 to 20 volunteers at houses in our block, church volunteers.

I could not believe my ears when hearing from the church volunteer wearing the symbol of his Methodist church and other on Their pockets, tell me they would have to receive $25.00 an hour for their services.

We had to tell them we were looking for volunteer labor, at those prices I could not afford their help. The price was contractor prices?

My wife and I worked on this house for years with our disabilities, finally running out of money. Then we heard of a second grant to help those who have not been able to complete their projects on their homes, we called and inquire with our state government. In hope of finally receiving enough to finish our replacement home, a blessing from God!

We were told it would have to be spent on our old address we were not eligible for the grant. We explained we were told we would have to move by the Federal Government do to lack of funding to repair our old property.

Instead the person on the phone actually chuckled under their breath at our dilemma, saying we are not allowed to file.

This has brought us away from churches and away from knowing we could not count on our government nor churches concerning our lives and living condition.

We became ordained to have God in our home and life, we try our best to help others when we can. Today we even purchased dried goods mostly rice and beans, to hand out to people we see on the highway or street panhandling for money. We see a lot of happy faces receiving simple dry goods for food.

Our struggle continues living in a Katrina condemned home, hoping for help from a people of Christian and Godly behavior. So we understand your feelings of distress over the world.

Know we had a flu shot last year in August and we asked what flu was expected this year from China. Our Wal Greens pharmacist informed us it was a multiple shot for four expected strains that might show up.

We got sick in March at our first visit to our local Coastal Family Health Dept. that was on the 2nd by the 5th I came down with a bad fever then my wife, our illness was hard painful coughing and aches. We lost our fever and felt good enough to return to our clinic by the 15th they said we should go to the County Health Department, but all we were hearing was we would have had to been in Contact with someone from Wuhan China, and had a fever of 105 degrees.

We take Tylenol Arthritis every 6 to 8 hours for pain being allergic so our fever only reached 103 degrees, to this day we are not positive if we had the Corona Virus, although we feel we have had it.

We pray for you and your family in these times of difficulty, know we have a deep understanding of your feelings of depression. And lingering symptoms of this pandemic and other trouble that this world has placed upon you and your families.

May God bless you and your family “Amen”

     Sincerely,

John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. [John 10:16; Rom. 12:5]

Rom. 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

How much clearer can it be made, that we all are children of the same God, but for the hatred and ignorance of man we squabble like children amongst each other. And of what importance do we argue over? Racial differences in appearance!

Do we not all have the same desires to have a peaceful life able to work and raise family, with our loving spouse, continuing our family history under God’s grace.

We as a people espouse the desire for equality, but seem always to see ourselves as superior to others, because of their physical appearances being different from our own.

Let us learn from the words of Christ the truth of what we should be, and how we should treat and see one another.

For there is only one race of man in our world the human race, my wife and I us this term to identify ourselves on paper work we have to fill out for everything. Until this term Human being or race is recognized by all official offices, we will continue in racism.

Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Mark 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

This last month in the news we see once again a fellow human being has been killed in police custody. Why is this important! Because before George Floyd was seen as an African American, Black or Negro he was first of, all a child of God created by the very same God that made us all.

Why has God made Us All Differ in Appearance?

How boring would this world be if all the birds looked the same, every beast of the field the same, flowers all similar in appearance.

We God’s children were all created with the same view God had on his many other creations. Different but the same, bringing a glorious plethora of size, shape, color, textures and appearances.

And mankind has from the beginning continued to create more differences in our human race by intermarriage. Did not Moses take an Ethiopian (Heb. chushite) woman Zipporah to wife and was looked down upon for it. Numbers 12

    Racial Prejudice in The Bible

    The first incident:

Num. 12:1-10 A crisis of leadership arose in Moses’s family when his brother Aaron and sister Miriam objected to his marriage to an Ethiopian woman (Heb, Cushite). This term generally applies to a person of African descent. Rabbinical scholars are divided on how to identify her. Three suggestions have generally been offered: (1) This was Moses’s Midianite wife, Zipporah; (2) this was a second wife in addition to Zipporah; (3) this wife replaced Zipporah whom some believe may have died by this time. Whichever view one holds, it is clearly an issue of racial prejudice on the part of Miriam, who was struck with leprosy as a result.

Application: God is the creator of all human beings of every racial type. All are equal in His sight, and we should show respect for one another as members of the human family each created in God’s image. God is “no respecter of persons” (Acts 10:34). He calls all people of every race to worship Him. Even within the context of Old Testament Israel, God used people, especially women of several races: Joseph married Asenath, an Egyptian (Gen. 41:45); Judah fathered sons by Ruth, a Moabite (Ruth 1-4; cf. Rom. 3:23).

    Numbers

    Chapter 12

Num. 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the † Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. Hebrew, Cushite.

Num. 12:2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.

Num. 12:3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

Num. 12:4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.

Num. 12:5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

Num. 12:6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

Num. 12:7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

Num. 12:8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

Num. 12:9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

Num. 12:10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became † leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

God punished Miriam for her prejudice behavior with leprosy.

Num. 12:11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

Num. 12:12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.

Num. 12:13 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

Num. 12:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

Num. 12:15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

Num. 12:16 And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.

Although the police have to deal with people in the dealings of criminal activity, we must understand they still are God’s possession. As quoted in Wisdom Of Solomon XIII.1

Wisdom of Solomon XIII.1 Surely vain are all men by nature, who are ignorant of God, and could not out of good things that are seen, know Him that is: neither by considering the † works, did they acknowledge the † work-master.

The creation of Mankind one of his greatest works, from Adam and Eve and all who pass through the womb or matrix at birth. † God.

We are all the works of God some of his greatest’s creation, yet we cannot see the works of God’s hands in our own flesh. We abuse each other and show no concern for our neighbor, whom God told us to love as our own soul.

Ps. 72:12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

Ps. 72:13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
Ps. 72:14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

Exodus 22:22 Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.

    Exodus 22:23 If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;

Exodus 22:24 And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

Exodus 22:25 T If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.

T The poor should not have interest put upon them if you loan money for their needs.

Exodus 22:26 If thou at all take thy neighbour's T raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down: T Or, clothing.

Exodus 22:27 For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.

And we cannot forget 1 Corinthians 13 on charity as the divine purpose of all mankind in reverence to God and our savior Jesus Christ.

    1 Corinthians

    Chapter 13

1 Cor. 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not T charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. T Or, love.

1 Cor. 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1 Cor. 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

1 Cor. 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

    1 Cor. 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

    1 Cor. 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

1 Cor. 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Cor. 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

1 Cor. 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

1 Cor. 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

1 Cor. 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

1 Cor. 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

1 Cor. 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

    Loss of God’s Good Children

Again we suffer another loss of God’s children, Senator John Lewis, worked his lifetime for the benefits of the ethnically different and poor he looked over the people of our country. Those seen as outcast and unimportant of our countries rich, who’s controlling interest in our Government brought troubles to all people of Ethnic persuasion.

All other than white, what is white but a crayon as many others in a child’s box of dreams, used to  express their hopes and desires of their future. The box of colors are all equal in the purpose of this child seeing their future, used to brighten the picture of their future life, in our country and world.

    Let us not cover this light, or put it out as spoken of in the Holy Bible, Matt. 5:14-16;

Mark 4:21-23; Luke 11:33-36. In Luke it speaks of the inner light we should always have of God, do not allow this light of charity and mercy perish within you because darkness shall befall your souls.

My wife’s mother is a Jehovah Witness, she forced my wife to go to their church. Worship and believe the way she the Jehovah Witnesses believed. In short, my wife, has told me she was never comfortable there, and as soon as she reached the age of consent, she removed the Witnesses Church from her life.

Jehovah's Witnesses are told they should remain "separate from the world" in harmony with Jesus' description of his followers at John 17:14–16. They believe none living in the world are of God’s children all being corrupted by the world and its over lord Satan. I don’t know about you, but I have seen and met many of God’s children living in the world bringing light and doing good for mankind! I cannot believe all mankind is evil or bad, Jesus knew we have potential to be good, giving of himself for our salvation.

Watch Tower publications define the "world" as "the mass of mankind apart from Jehovah’s approved servants" and teach that it is ruled by Satan [119] and a place of danger [120] and moral contamination. [121] Witnesses manifest their world renouncing beliefs in many ways. They avoid involvement in social controversies, [122] remain politically neutral, and do not seek public office. The Watch Tower Society has stated that voting in political elections is a personal conscience decision, [123] though a Witness who takes any action considered to be a "violation of Christian neutrality" may face religious sanctions. [124] They refuse participation in ecumenical and interfaith activities, [125][126] abstain from celebrating religious holidays, and reject many customs they claim have pagan origins. They do not work in industries associated with the military, nor serve in the armed services, [127] and refuse national military service, which in some countries may result in their arrest and imprisonment. [128] They do not salute or pledge allegiance to national flags or sing national anthems or other patriotic songs. [129] Witnesses are urged to minimize their social contact with non-members, even if they possess "decent qualities", [130][131][132] because of perceived dangers of worldly association. [133][134] Sociologist Andrew Holden indicated they are highly selective in choosing with whom they spend leisure time, generally choosing the company of other Witnesses. Many Witnesses interviewed by Holden reported tensions and ostracism at work because of their religious beliefs. [135] He reported that many Jehovah's Witness converts required some social adjustment as they gradually reduced contact with non-Witness friends. [136] Association with those outside the organization, commonly termed by Witnesses as "worldly" and "not in the Truth", is acceptable only when it is viewed as an opportunity to preach [137][138] and Witnesses are under considerable pressure from the Society to show outsiders they are people of high moral fiber. Holden claims that as a result, Witnesses working with "worldly" colleagues tend to closely adhere to Watch Tower teachings. [139] Sociologist Ronald Lawson has suggested that it is the group's intellectual and organizational isolation—coupled with the intense indoctrination of adherents, rigid internal discipline and considerable persecution—that has contributed to the consistency of its sense of urgency in its apocalyptic message.

Today I live without my blood sister in my life because the Witness Church taught her not to hear any other words or allow anyone of different influence into their house or life. My sister has become brain washed and disowned me in her life her own flesh and blood.

I know of no other Christian organization that causes families to break apart, all other faiths practice keeping families together, not destroying families.

Her husband like many others has become a part of the Witness Church they use the wife and her companionship with her husband as a tool to bend the husband to their beliefs.

I found out exactly how the Jehovah’s Witness Church works through their own history. One can find volumes of books written on the works of the Jehovah’s Witness Church in breaking up and destroying families!

I do not see this in any other faith except this one, God wisdom should not break up families but bring them closer together. This information can be found not only on Wikipedia but also in the Library of Congress.

Their history of believing in Charles Taze Russell their false prophet’s understanding of the scripture. His beliefs brought them into direct conflict with the other Christian Churches immediately.

Charles Taze Russell told his believers they were chosen by God to be the witness’s spoken of in the Holy Bible. It would be their responsibility to teach and train mankind how to live and worship God after the apocalypse? And no other church had a right to preach! Of course, this came from his piecing together random scripture of the Old and New Testament.

He has not understood how Enoch being the first to be brought to heaven before the flood as God’s chosen and after Enoch, Elijah!

I am not just an Ordained Rev/Minister and believer of our Lord and Savior in the Holy Trinity, but also a seeker of truth through reading the works of scholars to gain such knowledge. If you can read and understand with an open mind, your eyes will see clearly in the light, a closed mind is a dark mind and lost to the light in darkness. “Amen”

Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

    2 Kings Chapter 2

2 Kings 2:1 And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

2 Kings 2:2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.

2 Kings 2:3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

2 Kings 2:4 And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.

2 Kings 2:5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

2 Kings 2:6 And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.

2 Kings 2:7 And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.

2 Kings 2:8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

2 Kings 2:9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

2 Kings 2:10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Here Elijah was taken up by a whirlwind in the appearance of a chariot of fire and horses.

2 Kings 2:11 Elijah followed Enoch in being taken into heaven without dying. This is one of several “raptures” in Scripture, including Enoch (Gen. 5:24), the two witnesses (Rev. 11:11–12), and all living believers at Christ’s return (1 Thess. 4:16–17).

2 Kings 2:12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

    2 Kings 2:13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;

2 Kings 2:14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

2 Kings 2:15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

2 Kings 2:16 And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.

2 Kings 2:17 And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.

2 Kings 2:18 And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?

2 Kings 2:19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.

2 Kings 2:20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.

2 kings 2:21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

2 Kings 2:22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.

2 Kings 2:23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

2 Kings 2:24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

2 Kings 2:25 And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.

Has not the purpose of God from the beginning been to bring His children together in peace, was not the preaching of the early prophets about bringing the outcast of the flock into the fold.

Did not Jesus Christ bring this prophecy to light in his time? It is the responsibility of every Christian Church to bring God’s children together, not divide them and bring bigotry, hatred and racist beliefs to bear. Nor is it their purpose to raise and exalt themselves above others or judge them.

My wife and I have studied theology for many years and found all of the people we have spoken to in the different churches to hold animosity towards the other faiths although they all believed in the same God and Holy Trinity! They never admit to this but it is seen in their behavior speech and facial expressions when we tried to discuss them.

A closed mind is a lost mind, God has spoken to all of the different peoples of the world and shown them in different ways. And mankind has become a creator of his own god’s and beliefs from past history.

I pray all people the true children of God learn humility from God’s wisdom, understanding we are all his children, for there is but one race on this earth the human race. Created by the same Father in hopes of living together in harmony, love peace and caring for each other as we would care for our own souls.

These are the things our heavenly Father finds praise in not ceremonial rituals and sacrifices, praise, rejoicing, these things are for man’s needs to ease his guilty conscience, feed his ego and to impose upon others his faith and purpose. What parent would expect any less from their children, but for them to truly care and love one another.

Be as Jesus Christ bringing love and mercy into our communities show our Father and creator we are his children.

Peace be still and may God bless!

    “Amen”
