Christian Life - Pros & Cons

  • These days, most Christian communities are experiencing a growth in both positivity and negativity. In some locations of the world, you have numerous positive pieces of news where miracles are happening but at the same time, you also have news where Christian communities are persecuted for practicing their faith.

There are numerous locations where you can see people being healed for real in a positive manner. Some will say it is faked but that is because they refuse to accept that we have all been given the gift of healing once we were baptized. It's just that we have never been taught how to do this work of grace.

In the Phillipines, I am familiar with a group of people who do nothing but helping the less fortunate. They do all of this without any benefits in return. They have setup a donation page and website where they do there best to help the orphans and widows as described in the Bible.

God commands us to care for orphans and widows. When He gave the Law to Moses and the Israelites, He gave instructions for how to treat the orphans and widows among them, with harsh consequences promised if they failed in their responsibility (see Exodus 22:22–23).

In the New Testament, James says that taking care of the needs of orphans and widows is part of religion “pure and faultless” (James 1:27). Caring for those in distress is not optional for followers of Christ.

Persecutions of Christians is ongoing everywhere in the world. Many Asian countries look down on Christians for fear that their own religion will lose control over their flock. Then you also have various groups around the world persecuting Christians for not bending to their requests.

Living life as a Christian can be a challenging life. One must maintain their Christian faith and belief in the Lord almighty.
