Psalm 37:3 says, "Trust in the Lord and do good". This perfectly sums up a great theological truth. Without faith, it's impossible to please God. If you don't believe, you can't do good. If you do believe, you have to do good. Faith without works is dead. Works without faith are empty. Work out your salvation, because it's God who's at work with you. Trust, believe, and then act on your faith. Don't try to do good without believing. Don't believe and then not apply your faith into action. Let every work come from faith, and let your faith work. As the hymn says, "Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey". The key to abundant life is very simple. Believe His Word and then just do it, just truly believe. Then take that faith into your life, with real faith actions, and see what happens. Keep it simple. Trust in the Lord and do goo d. Even more simple: "Trust and obey. For there's no other way to be happy in Yeshua/Jesus, but to trust and obey".
