  • Why It’s Important That Moses Is Dead

    Tuesday, January 9, 2018

The first five books of the Bible are called the Torah. The Torah ends commending Moses, but the very next book opens with God saying, “Moses, My servant, is dead.” Without the Book of Joshua, the Bible couldn’t get on with salvation. Because as great as Moses was, the Bible isn’t about Moses. It’s about God. God is I AM! He doesn’t stay in the past, He’s now. God had to tell Israel, in effect, Moses is dead now, get on with it. Too often God’s people dwell on the past, on how good or bad it was. If you do that, you won’t be able to move on and inherit the blessings He’s got for your life. God is saying to you, “Moses is dead.” The glory of the past is no more, its pain and sorrow are over. Stop dwelling on it, say goodbye and move on, because God is now. Therefore arise, cross the Jordan and enter the land of milk and honey. Get on with your life, get on with the blessin g, because Moses, my servant, is dead.

    Scripture: Luke 9:62

TODAY'S MISSION - Today, make a conscious effort to live in the present and presence of God. Let go of the past and get on with the blessing.
