  • When It's Good To Be Provocative
    Monday, November 5, 2018

Hebrews 10:24 says, “Let us consider how to provoke one another to love.” Some people apparently read only the first part of this verse: “let us provoke one another,” and stop there. They’ve mastered the art of provoking everybody; even people who’d be otherwise very loving and spiritual into entertaining thoughts of murder. God has called you to be a provoker; to influence people, push their buttons, and to affect their behavior. You are called to provoke them to love; friends, loved ones, and even your enemies – to love. There’s no spiritual value in complaining about the things others do to you. But there is great spiritual value in provoking them to love. Start learning not just how to relate to people, and how to love people, but how to provoke them to love. Pray, move in the Spirit, and be strategic about it. Consider what you need to do to provoke that person to love and do it. For God has called you to be one holy provoker.
