Deuteronomy 6:5 instructs us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Therefore, does following God, mean just going along with the flow? Yes and no. There’s the flow of God’s Spirit, and there’s the flow of the world. In order to serve God, you have to choose the flow of His Spirit and choose against the flow of the world. It requires a choice of your heart, soul, mind, and strength. It requires choice, determination, decision, and will – and it’s all of the Spirit. Many believers spend their whole lives trying to find the will of God. But your life is not just about finding the will of God. It’s about obeying the will of God. In other words, willing the will of God. Do you want the will of God in your life? Then choose the will of God. Be willing to obey. Agree, decide, and will to do the will of God, no matter what the situation. Then the will of God will be done in your life on earth as it is in heaven.
