  • A Hand Full Of Fruit
    Wednesday, February 27, 2019
The Feast of Sukkot was the last great feast of Israel during the sacred year. In order to celebrate it, you had to bring the fruit of your fields to Jerusalem to present to the Lord. The Lord specifically told them not to go up to Jerusalem empty-handed, but with fruit. God didn’t want rotten fruit, leftover fruit, spoiled fruit, diseased fruit, or even waxed fruit. The Feast of Tabernacles is a picture of the Kingdom of God to come. So what it’s telling us, is that it’s not just that you’re going to stand before God, but that you have something to give Him. You can’t appear before Him empty-handed. You need to bless Him with fruit, the fruit of those who were saved through you, the fruit of good and pure works done for Him, the fruit of joy, love, and blessing. The Israelites had to bring fruit to the Feast of Tabernacles. You have to do the same. So live in a way now that on that day you will be filled with fruit to give. For the Lord desires fruit… the fruit of your life.
